Tricella

Sacred objects and unique statues for the crib, since 1888

Welcome to Tricella, the Archiepiscopal Ecclesiastical Agency where you get lost among a thousand collectible cribs, sacred art, jewels and handmade objects.

The famous Cardinal Schuster gave the Ecclesiastical Agency Tricella the title of “Archbishop”. The first documents date back to 1888: the then proprietor Paolo Albizzati already devoted himself to the sale of nativity scenes, holy water fonts, paintings, madonnas, crucifixes, sculptures, reliefs, and any other form of sacred objects. Paolo Albizzati was succeeded by Carlo Tricella, who customized the sign in 1921 and moved the headquarters to via Santa Tecla 2, where you can find it today. He was replaced by his two daughters. In 1983 the business was bought by Ambrogio Barbareschi who, taking advantage of his artisan background (he was the owner of one of the best silver and bronze foundries in Italy, collaborating with some of the best sculptors of the time including Manzù, Calvelli and Manfrini) with his enthusiasm and passion, expanded and enriched the shop by introducing icons, statues and wooden reliefs from the Val Gardena, sacred furniture hand-engraved in bronze and silver. For more than twenty years, the business has passed to the sons Francesca and Giuseppe who continue the history of this ancient workshop with the same passion and devotion. It is impossible to remain indifferent to the charm of all the statues of every size and material that crowd the numerous display cases. They range from tiny plastic sheep of 40 cents (beautiful in their simplicity) to the Magi in terracotta of thousands euros, as well as painted icons, jewels, rosaries and much more.
