Le Antiche Botteghe per Giacomo Matteotti
A month dedicated to Giacomo Matteotti with protagonists Vetrate Artistiche Grassi, Cilento 1780, De Wan, Centro dell’Incisione Gigi Pedroli, Legatoria d’arte Giovanni Codina, Ferramenta Spinardi, Bagatti Bronzisti, Miracoli Argenteria, Tipografia Landoni who each created an artistic homage to Giacomo Matteotti using the art specific to them and then donating the 9 artefacts in the 9 Municipalities of Milan.
The initiative saw the Presentation of the project at the Libreria Bocca 1775 in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with live social media on the Bookshop’s web TV, the Artistic Bookbinding Workshop at the Bookbindery of Art Giovanni Codina in via Chianciano 4 and the Conference at the Circolo Caldara Study Center in via De Amicis, with the participation of a panel of speakers chosen from among the leading experts on the figure of Giacomo Matteotti, involving city and national institutions for a moment of in-depth analysis on some lesser-known aspects of the character and his tragic death. The evening ended with the delivery of the artefacts to the 9 city municipalities and the final concert by Alessio Lega.
