A love for beauty and art lies at the very heart of Osti Ricami a maison founded in 1920, when Pia Osti established her haute couture and embroidery house. In 1941, together with her brother Ernesto, the embroidery business expanded further. Since 1992, Luisa Pelosio – Ernesto’s niece – has designed and created the Atelier’s embroidery collections. She also collaborates with the style offices of leading fashion houses on the development and realization of their embroideries.

That is how, for example, a pure metals gold thread, applied using the ancient technique of Goldwork embroidery, can be combined with elements designed in vector format and produced with 3D printers. “I learned this craft thanks to my grandfather Ernesto Osti,” she recalls, “and to the many extraordinary embroiderers with whom I have had the honor of working. Eager to pass on the knowledge I have gained, I have long been dedicated to teaching the art of embroidery. With the same aim of promoting and disseminating embroidery in its many forms, I have also been collaborating for years with public and private institutions through conferences, workshops, and exhibitions.”
