Homage to Maria Callas
Exclusive invitation-only evening, in the noble and ancient exclusive circle of La Società del Giardino, reserved for Galleria&Friends’ excellent artisans, titled “Homage to Maria Callas,” an unedited version of our Impossible Interview with the Divina, conceived and conducted by Elisabetta Invernici with direction by Alberto Oliva and performance by actress and singer Gea Rambelli accompanied on piano by M. Elena Armiraglio.
The interview words alternated with images, with songs by Edith Piaf and Dalidà, among the soprano’s favorite performers, sung live by Gea Rambelli. Here and there resounded the most famous arias from the Divine played on the piano by M. Elena Armiraglio. Between questions, biographical snapshots of the soprano with the men in her life: her husband Giovanni Battista Meneghini, Aristotle Onassis, Pier Paolo Pasolini, and Giuseppe Di Stefano.
