Agenzia viaggi 5 Giornate

Around the world in five days.

In the old Tollhouse, Milan’s most eclectic travel agency. An art gallery where you can discover signature destinations. Since 1936.

Housed in the former customs tollhouse dating back to 1783, one of Milan’s earliest travel agencies has been based here since 1936. Today the building is owned by L’Astrolabio Group of the Aronson family: owners since 1931 of Chiariva, Italy’s first travel agency and the third founded worldwide, in 1878. Later, with the brands L’Astrolabio – acquired forty years ago – and Viva International, the group has respectively organized study holidays abroad for students and adults.
In 2023, a municipal public tender reassigned to L’Astrolabio the management of the historic customs premises for a further twelve years, acknowledging the company’s tangible contribution to enhancing the monument as an iconic heritage site of the metropolis. In addition to offering services for leisure travel, honeymoons, and business trips – catering to a clientele that values meticulous, tailor-made proposals – the agency has also developed a range of cultural activities open to the public. Through the “Art & Travel” project, in fact, both at “Cinque Giornate” and at the group’s other agencies (in Milan Via Monterosa 20 and Via Boccaccio 19, and in Bergamo Via Broseta 38), visitors can freely explore a permanent exhibition of contemporary artists. Moreover, at the “Cinque Giornate” location, small theatrical performances and distributed exhibitions are also hosted. The agency also takes part in several charitable initiatives promoted by the Group; the most recent is the reconstruction of a school in Shisong, Cameroon, within the Parish of the Sacred Heart run by Capuchin missionaries, which can accommodate about 900 children.
