Fatti ad arte

“Merletti e Ricami dall’Ottocento ad Oggi” (Lace and Embroidery from the 19th Century to Today), the exhibition of needlework masterpieces by Rita Bargna and Barbara Trestini Trimarchi that took place from 12 to 26 May in the historic centre of Cantù, ended with applause. The traditional exhibition dedicated to the art of lace and embroidery, hosted as always in the beautiful courtyards of the capital city of bobbin lace, was a great success.

The atelier of the embroiderer Barbara Trestini Trimarchi also opened its doors with a collection of her needlework inspired by the sketches of Rosa Genoni. Among the most interesting are the reproductions of the sketches that the designer created, inspired by the great masters of art such as Giotto, the great masterpieces of the Renaissance, such as the Leonardesque knot that stands out in the Sala delle Asse at the Castello Sforzesco in Milan and by Steiner anthroposophy.

On Friday 24 May at 5:00 pm Elisabetta Invernici spoke with the two artists surrounded by an attentive audience of enthusiasts and admirers.
