The safe address for amateurs, students and professionals. Frequented by great pianists. In search of author’s notes. Since 1920.
New and used pianos (upright, grand, and digital), meticulous maintenance and restoration, along with a curated selection of accessories. For those who love music, and for those who have made it their profession since 1920 in Milan, Tagliabue Pianoforti stands as a true point of reference, thanks to more than a century of uninterrupted experience in the sale, rental, repair, and tuning of instruments. Founded by Dante Tagliabue and still run by the same family now in its fourth generation, the company has built its reputation on a solid artisan tradition and a deep passion for music. In the 1950s, with the arrival of Luigi Tagliabue, the business expanded significantly, placing a strong focus on the rental and commercial distribution of pianos. With Giovanni, in 1978, the company strengthened its presence in Milan through two locations: a central showroom on Via Meda and a workshop with storage and additional exhibition space on Viale Certosa. Today the business is overseen by Giovanni’s wife Paola, supported by a team of trusted collaborators, while awaiting the next generational handover to their sons Filippo and Tommaso, already active in the company and destined to take over from their father. All instruments are carefully selected, tested, and subjected to thorough technical inspections, ensuring sound quality and reliability, whether new or restored. A trusted choice for amateurs, students, and professionals alike—including owners whose identities, out of respect for privacy, are not publicized, yet who are certainly well known to the wider public both in Italy and abroad.
