
“Rosa Genoni MilanoLab,” a project of the Profumo di Milano Cultural Association, with the participation of some of the Galleria&Friends workshops, organized on the occasion of Orticola 2024 the widespread exhibition “On the Thread of Rose” of embroideries by Barbara Trestini Trimarchi inspired by Rosa Genoni’s sketches, on the theme of the rose.
The widespread exhibition is an itinerant path that combines art and communication involving the ancient shops of Galleria&Friends each of which has exhibited a work, available to visit. The initiative, curated by Elisabetta Invernici and Alberto Oliva, showcases the needle masterpieces of the artist Barbara Trestini Trimarchi inspired by the sketches of Rosa Genoni for the “Anima” median work. From 7 to 21 May, walking from Piazza Duomo for Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, from via Morone, in Brera to Piazza San Babila, the public met the works of this extraordinary artist, combined with the treasures of the beauty collection “Le Rose di Antonia” By Antonia Dufour and Giacomo Torrente, “framed” by the creativity of the historic Milanese artisans.
Three the highlights of this exhibition itinerary:
Vernissage. May 7 at Bocca Bookstore. Meeting and dialogue with the artist on the theme of embroidery.
Art Tour. On May 14, a tour took us on a discovery of six needlepoint masterpieces paired with treasures from the beauty collection “Antonia’s Roses” in the art windows of Libreria Bocca, Noli, Barbieria Colla, Radaelli and Cilento 1780. Grand finale with olfactory experience at L’Erbolario dedicated to the rose theme.
Finissage. On May 21 in the halls of the Ginrosa in Galleria San Babila, Francesco De Luca with his wife Nicoletta entertained customers by telling the story of their legendary restaurant, and Antonia Dufour and Giacomo Torrente presented their “Dufour à la Rose.”
