Amleto Missaglia

Shopping of wonders, since 1884.

All the best of art and decor.
Glass, porcelain, designer silver ‘furnish’ the atelier overlooking the Renaissance courtyard.

It was another era when the young Amleto – a Shakespearian name – went around by bicycle driving a cart with the inscription Missaglia, full of glass and porcelain objects. Giuseppe, his father, started the family business by opening the workshop in Via Moneta, where table sets in the style of the time were already displayed. Since the Second World War, the company, led by Amleto, specialized in high-level hotel supplies, thus starting the journey into excellence and luxury that remains a hallmark of the Missaglia style today. Annamaria, Amleto’s daughter, decides to dedicate the family business exclusively to the sphere of home décor. In the mid-Eighties, the new generation enters with Simone Somaruga and his wife Simonetta and in 2016 the boutique moves to the brand new headquarters in via Verdi. Here, the grace of the four-sided portico, created by a pupil of Bramante, welcome visitors and accompany them to a marvellous atelier. Giacomo, fifth generation of Missaglia, graduated in sound engineering with a great passion for music, decided to take charge of the beautiful family tradition, with the dream to take it to new and even higher goals.
