Ottica Scaccabarozzi

Under a magical lens. Since 1927.

One hundred years of activity, capable of combining tradition with laboratory technology. Always at the forefront also in the choice of frames.

Ottica Scaccabarozzi opens its doors in 1927 in via Paolo Sarpi 63, where yes still finds today, happy to celebrate a century of glorious activity, next door to other historic shops that have resisted the arrival of the Chinese. Established by Carlo Scaccabarozzi, later joined by his wife Angela Fradegrada, this family workshop sells glasses and items for photography up to 1944, when Carlo is deported to a German concentration camp, where he sadly succumbs to Nazi torture. His wife Angela continues in the business with his eleven-year-old son Arturo, who in the meantime concludes his studies of optics, to resume the work of father. Arturo runs the business with charisma and competence until 1981, date of his premature death, when he leaves his wife in the shop Norma Stella Maria, by everyone though called Paola. Of his four children, only Paolo has chose to stay in the shop, with Enrico Samarati, professional optician. In the lab, behind the counter, with a system computerized and avant-garde, they are still being made patient-specific lenses. But innovation covers all products, including contact lenses from latest generation, hydrated and very light.
