Rosa Genoni is Made in Italy
“Rosa Genoni Milanolab”, a project by the Associazione Culturale Profumo di Milano, organized the meeting at Libreria Bocca in the Gallery Library on April 15, 2024, on the occasion of the National Day of Made in Italy, where Rosa Genoni returns to an institutional meeting.
On this occasion, a dialogue conducted by Elisabetta Invernici took place with the protagonists of Made in Italy in the field of art, fashion and institutions to analyze the contemporary meaning of this expression that has become a brand.
The first traces of the definition of Made in Italy until now has been dated 1926 even if the world statement of the homonymous brand is from the 80s. In reality, the watch watch must be anticipated in 1906 when a Milanese seamstress first used this allocation in an interview in which it intended to indicate “the creative and artisan artistic identity of textile artefacts”. This visionary woman is called Rosa Genoni and is the founder of Italian fashion.
