Founded in 1936, Vibrostop has established itself as one of the most dynamic companies specializing in the design and manufacture of rubber-metal vibration, shock and noise isolators. Development immediately focused on original, high quality products in which performance and reliability were paramount.
As early as the 1940s, during World War II, every unit of the Italian Navy had Vibrostop vibration dampers installed on board. Vibrations are mechanical oscillations that occur around a point of equilibrium and are a sought-after phenomenon in many cases, such as in the operation of musical instruments. However, they are often not desired as they can dissipate energy and create annoying sounds and noises. Vibrostop’s goal is precisely to design and create excellent quality and high-performance devices with the purpose of reducing or cancelling vibratory motion, such as rubber or steel rope or metal spring vibration dampers. Application fields range from transportation means to the defense sector (with systems installed on board land and air vehicles), from aerospace to shipbuilding to leisure (musical instruments, gym equipment, cameras and video cameras installed on mobile vehicles) and the protection of works of art in museums.
